About Nadia Sews...

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

Welcome to Nadia Sews — a space for slow stitching, thoughtful making and finding new ways to love the clothes we already have.

I’m Nadia, a sustainable sewer and maker who believes that sewing can be a simple way to make more consciously. Through Nadia Sews, I share my love of mending, repairing and reimagining clothes, with the aim of encouraging us all to slow down and think differently about what we wear and how we make.

I’m passionate about giving clothes a longer life rather than replacing them at the first sign of wear. A small repair, a creative alteration or a little bit of patience can transform something we might otherwise discard. I want to show that mending doesn’t have to be perfect — it can be visible, personal and even beautiful.

Where I can, I choose second-hand and pre-loved fabrics, making use of materials that already exist rather than always buying new. I’m also drawn to natural fibres and the qualities they bring to the things we make and wear.

For me, sustainable sewing isn’t about being perfect or following a set of rules. It’s about making more intentional choices, using what we have, learning to value our clothes and reconnecting with the time and skill that goes into making something by hand.

Through tutorials, mending inspiration and my own sewing journey, I hope to encourage more people to stitch slowly, make thoughtfully and see the potential in what they already own.
